The current publication medium of the Curculio-Institute (CURCI) is the scientific journal Weevil News (ISSN (Online) 1615-3472, ISSN (Print): 2747-5514). The aim of the Weevil News is to promote the publication of scientific articles on weevils, such as contributions on taxonomy, biology and ecology, distribution and endangerment of species, as well as field excursion reports and shorter study papers. All articles are reviewed, usually by two subject experts.

The frequency of publication is usually bimonthly; if there are more articles, it may also be once a month. New articles are always published online as open access PDF on the 1st of each month.

In addition to the online publications, a print version of Weevil News is also published. This will be managed annually in November from 2021 and will contain the online articles that have appeared since the last print version, as well as first publications of taxonomic papers if available. Taxonomic papers published for the first time in the print version will subsequently be made available in the online open access version of Weevil News on 1 December.
