Events
During the excursion, we will observe various interesting autumn insects, diurnal butterflies and, depending on the current possibilities, also aquatic invertebrates.
The route will lead from Karlštejn past the Oak of the Seven Brothers, through grassy forest-steppe biotopes, past Karlova studánka to Serbia. We expect finds of interesting invertebrates everywhere.
The length of the route is approximately 7 km. From Serbia, it is possible to continue the trip independently or take the train home.
Take with you not only the usual equipment (a large snack and good shoes), but also perhaps a magnifying glass or an entomological net.
Excursion participants who often go to nature, observe different types of plants or animals and are interested in "mapping nature" can learn about the BioLog project here and practical experience using the application of the same name, which was created for those interested in nature and serves as a digital notebook observation of fauna and flora in the territory of the Czech Republic.
Petr Heřman from the Society for the Protection of Butterflies and Lucie Hrůzová, zoologist from the CHKO Český kras, will guide you through the excursion.
