The Lexicon of Beetles of the Czech Republic

Abstract

Selected findings of 105 beetle species (Coleoptera) considered rare, threatened or faunistically remarkable, recorded in the region of western Bohemia in the years 2018–2024, are presented in the paper. Short notes on the distribution and bionomical preferences of certain species are given and collecting circumstances are also discussed. Several  species are reported as new for the territory of western Bohemia, namely Ampedus melanurus Mulsant & Guillebeau, 1855, Bledius pallipes (Gravenhorst, 1806), Calodera uliginosa Erichson, 1837, Ceutorhynchus posthumus Germar, 1824, Foucartia squamulata (Herbst, 1795), Helophorus asperatus Rey, 1885, Kateretes rufilabris (Latreille, 1807),
Limnebius atomus (Duftschmid, 1805), Mordellistena kraatzi Emery, 1876, Ochthebius pusillus Stephens, 1835, Quedius infuscatus Erichson, 1840 and Sphenophorus striatopunctatus (Goeze, 1777).
