Confirmation of the steppe weevil Adosomus roridus (Pallas, 1781) as a faunal element for Germany and detection of Achillea millefolium L.

Abstract

The very rare, discontinuously distributed Cleonini species Adosomus roridus (Pallas, 1781) has been documented for Germany. Achillea millefolium L. is confirmed as a host plant of this species. Special observations are shared and additional information on the biology and ecology is provided. In addition, a valuation of the discovered population and of the threats is given. The records are presented and discussed.
